From the desk of the Vice-Principal:

Our basketball teams are doing a wonderful job this year! I was blessed to be able to attend 2 home games and really enjoyed myself! We won both of the games (boys and girls) and our students played really well!!! I especially enjoyed the look on the girls' faces when their shots went into the basket. Some of them had such an amazed look!

Well, January is over and February is here. During this month, the 8th grade class will be selling special Valentine carnations with greetings to help raise money for their Washington D.C. trip. If you haven't ordered one yet, you need to do so as soon as possible.

We will also be having the Valentine's Day Parties on Tuesday, February 14th. If you are a room parent and you haven't heard anything from your child's teacher yet, please contact her.

Photographers/Photos Needed:

Our yearbook needs parents to take pictures of all school functions such as chapel, class parties, class trips, class programs, etc. If you have any pictures from this current school year, please send them into the school office in an envelope labeled with your name. We will scan them and return them to you. We are also looking for parents to video tape the Christmas programs. If you are able to do this, please contact the school office.

Parent's Prayer Meeting:

Mrs. Aileen Paviera and Mrs. Ying Chen would like to invite all parents to join them on Friday mornings at 8:50am in the large activity room for prayer. If you would like prayer for something specific, and are unable to attend, please email Mrs. Paviera your request. What a joy it is to live in a country where we can all gather together freely in "His" name for prayer! Parents receive 5 event points for each prayer meeting that is attended. Please remember to sign the attendance sheet.

 

Read to Succeed

Please encourage your child in grades K to 6th to complete their 6 hours of reading. All forms are due no later than Tuesday, February 28th in the morning, in order to receive a Great Adventure Ticket.

Parking Lot Help Needed:

MCA administration is looking for parents to help supervise the parking lot.  The days are Monday thru Friday, 8:20am to 8:45am and 2:55pm to 3:15pm. We especially need help Thursday and Friday in the PM and on Friday in the AM. Earn extra income or points! If interested, please call the school office.

EASTER CANDY FUNDRAISER

Please don't forget to participate in our Easter Candy fundraiser. The sale ends on Friday, February 17th. All of the proceeds will go towards technology for our classrooms. We really appreciate all of our parents support!

Bad Weather Conditions

MCA will close because of storm conditions and will be announced on WCTC (1450) radio or on their web site WCTCAM.COM. We will be announced by name with the private and parochial schools starting at 6:15am. If our school's name is not mentioned, we are opened at our regularly scheduled time. For a delayed opening, early care begins at 8:30am and school opens at 9:30am. PLEASE NOTE: We rarely have a delayed opening.

FACTS Tuition Program:

Our FACTS Tuition Program is under way. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact the school office and the bookkeeper will help you.

Looking into the future at M.C.A

BIG "G" BOX TOPS :

Please keep sending in those box tops! We currently have about $200.00 worth of box tops, but would like to earn $400.00 more. We receive 10 cents for each box top. If you can keep them coming in, Miss Harmes can keep clipping and bagging them!
